Hurley the puppy... A new addition to our family!
Well guys, Doug and I have done it again... We went and got another cute puppy. Here's the story. December of 2007 we got Lila at McKinney Trade days from Suzy's pets(or whatever there little puppy/pet business is called). Well on Sunday we went out to the Trade days again to check out the puppies to see if there was one we couldn't resist. We came across the same Suzy's Pets.. well its actually Jon selling the puppies.. I've never seen Suzy but anyways... they had some cute little puppies that are a lot like Lila but with big spots(They were Maltipoos...the Mom was the Maltese, which are always white and fluffy soft hair, and the daddy was a Party Poodle, I'd never heard of one before but its a spotted poodle...) I love the idea of having two dogs that are the same hair type and cut maybe but one has spots.. lol.. I'm weird. Anyways.. hopefully it will be the makes of very cute Christmas pics.. again. I'm weird. I'll probably never get around to doing anyways though.
OK so back to Hurley.. we named him Hurley because Doug and I are doing marathons of trying to catch up on all the seasons of Lost that we've missed the past few years and we love the show so far! I'm addicted to it.. I kind of got a buzz when I found out we were DVRing the new episode tonight and that there were TWO episodes! We can't watch it yet because we aren't caught up on the previous episodes/seasons. I heard it got stupid around season 4 with a whole bunch of questions still not answered but hey.. I'm sure it will be fine if you do it marathon style! Oh and Doug figured out the sucky season was during the writer's strike. We'll see but the character Hurley is the big guy with curly hair, he's funny and so very needed for the show. He adds so much I think.. the numbers he's cursed with... he's friends with everybody... a piece maker.. but if you mess with him he'll plow you over with a punch.. Anyways.. I love his character so we named the new puppy Hurley... Jack, Sawyer, Sayid, and Jon Locke just didn't fit... but Hurley is probably going to have a little bit of curly hair himself.. so it should be fitting.

Happy New Year 2009!
Wow another year has gone by! I'm just going to list some updates for the whole year of 2008.
1. December 2008-
Doug and I have now been married for 4 years!(Dec. 18 was our anniversary)
We've had Lila, the cutest Maltese ever, for a year now...(we got her around our anniversary)
Christmas 2008 was at our house. It turned out great!
3. November 2008-
One year anniversary of owning our home and my 26th birthday was on Nov. 18th. Wow... 10 years ago I was 16 years old in high school... 2 more years and it will be my 10 year high school reunion.
Doug left his job at WISD of 14 or so years(he was a network manager there, built the network they have currently, slaved for them, and received only a card on his departure, I hate Wylie ISD! They don't take care of their precious employees, I'm sorry but I hope they realize what they lost!).
And thank God, he accepted the position at Society of Petroleum Engineers. This has been, I think, the greatest thing of 2008. We couldn't afford medical insurance for the both of us when he worked for WISD(basically meaning we would never be able to have a family unless something changed). Now, Doug got an awesome raise moving to SPE along with insurance for the both of us for only $200 or so a month. Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!
4. September 2008 made a year at my current salon location. I've enjoyed renting my salon suite at Salon Pour Vous in McKinney.
5. July 4th, 2008- We invited some of the greatest friends over for fajitas and sopapillas to celebrate the 4th.
6. May 2nd, 2008- Doug turned 30 years old.
7. April 2008- Oh its coming to me now. We took Lila into the vet to be spayed. It was terrible. Our little dogs came home with a 10" incision and looked so sad. Five days later her stitches popped and she had fatty tissue coming out of her incision. We rushed her to the E-Vet to have another surgery to redo the whole incision. I was so sad for my little puppy and so very mad at the original veterinary hospital. Thank God, she healed finally and is a happy healthy little dog now.
8. Well I can't think of much else except for all the babies that came in 2008. They are all so cute and have really great mommies and daddies. There's so many babies at church that came in 2008. My cousin had a cute baby girl in November, and a best friend from high school had a baby girl in December.
Anyways, 2008 was full of blessings from God. We lost our Pastor at MRBC but we now have a new start with a new pastor and family. There's so much in store for us in this new year 2009. Love you all and Happy New Year!
