Happy New Year 2009!

Wow another year has gone by! I'm just going to list some updates for the whole year of 2008.
1. December 2008-
Doug and I have now been married for 4 years!(Dec. 18 was our anniversary)
We've had Lila, the cutest Maltese ever, for a year now...(we got her around our anniversary)
Christmas 2008 was at our house. It turned out great!
3. November 2008-
One year anniversary of owning our home and my 26th birthday was on Nov. 18th. Wow... 10 years ago I was 16 years old in high school... 2 more years and it will be my 10 year high school reunion.
Doug left his job at WISD of 14 or so years(he was a network manager there, built the network they have currently, slaved for them, and received only a card on his departure, I hate Wylie ISD! They don't take care of their precious employees, I'm sorry but I hope they realize what they lost!).
And thank God, he accepted the position at Society of Petroleum Engineers. This has been, I think, the greatest thing of 2008. We couldn't afford medical insurance for the both of us when he worked for WISD(basically meaning we would never be able to have a family unless something changed). Now, Doug got an awesome raise moving to SPE along with insurance for the both of us for only $200 or so a month. Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!
4. September 2008 made a year at my current salon location. I've enjoyed renting my salon suite at Salon Pour Vous in McKinney.
5. July 4th, 2008- We invited some of the greatest friends over for fajitas and sopapillas to celebrate the 4th.
6. May 2nd, 2008- Doug turned 30 years old.
7. April 2008- Oh its coming to me now. We took Lila into the vet to be spayed. It was terrible. Our little dogs came home with a 10" incision and looked so sad. Five days later her stitches popped and she had fatty tissue coming out of her incision. We rushed her to the E-Vet to have another surgery to redo the whole incision. I was so sad for my little puppy and so very mad at the original veterinary hospital. Thank God, she healed finally and is a happy healthy little dog now.
8. Well I can't think of much else except for all the babies that came in 2008. They are all so cute and have really great mommies and daddies. There's so many babies at church that came in 2008. My cousin had a cute baby girl in November, and a best friend from high school had a baby girl in December.

Anyways, 2008 was full of blessings from God. We lost our Pastor at MRBC but we now have a new start with a new pastor and family. There's so much in store for us in this new year 2009. Love you all and Happy New Year!
